Call for Nominations for Arts Section Vice-Chair/Chair-Elect and Secretary – Due Sept 4

The 2013 Nominating Committee is seeking active Arts members interested in being considered for nomination as candidates for Arts Section Vice-Chair/Chair-Elect and Secretary in the 2013 ALA elections.

The successful vice chair candidate will become Section Vice-Chair at the close of the 2013 ALA Annual Conference, will become Chair at the close of the 2014 Annual Conference, and will continue on the Executive Committee for an additional year as Immediate Past-Chair.  This requires attendance at all ALA conferences during their term.  The successfully secretary candidate will serve a 2 year term starting at the close of the 2013 ALA Annual Conference.  This requires attendance at all ALA Annual Conferences during their term and virtual Midwinter Conferences.

Please consider coming forward for this service to the Section.  If you’d like to recommend an Arts colleague to us we welcome that too.  If you’re interested in nominating yourself or someone else please send me an email and include a brief summary of your/her/his previous activity with Arts to the Nominating Chair by September 4, 2012.
